Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th

When: July 3 + 4, 2022
Where: Downtown Nashville

The largest and most prominent Fourth of July event in the city is the Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th event taking place downtown on July 3 and 4. Kick off the festivities on July 3 with family-friendly activities at the Amazon Family Fun Zone, which will have its own stage with free live music, inflatables, games and other kid-friendly activities. On the Fourth, continue the fun at the family fun zone (from 12-5 p.m.) then make your way to the stages along the river for live performances from a number of bands and artists, including headliner Old Dominion. Then, end with a bang (literally) with the Nashville Symphony playing alongside a spectacular fireworks show! There are plenty of places to view the fireworks, including along the river, on the pedestrian bridge, or at various viewing parties at local businesses. Freedom Festival

When: July 3, 2022 | 5–10 p.m.
Where: Drakes Creek Park, Hendersonville

Freedom Festival in Hendersonville is the largest Independence Day celebration in Sumner County. This family-friendly event features a talent show, live music, food trucks, various vendors, and of course, an extravagant fireworks show at 9 p.m.! Bring your picnic blanket and lawn chairs and find a spot in the park to enjoy the music and see the fireworks show. This beloved event began in 2004 as a way to give back to local schools through the Hendersonville Chamber Foundation and the Golden Apple Gala. Thanks to generous sponsors, Freedom Festival is completely free to attend!​

Nashville Sounds vs. Indianapolis Indians

When: July 3, 2022 | 6:05 p.m.
Where: First Horizon Park, Nashville

What’s more American than a baseball game? The Sounds play the Indianapolis Indians on Sunday, July 3 at 6:05 p.m., culminating with a spectacular Independence Day fireworks show powered by the Nashville International Airport. Get your tickets for the game here!

Music City July 4th 5K

When: July 4, 2022 | 7 a.m.
Where: Rose Park, Nashville

Kick off the day’s festivities with a scenic run through downtown Nashville, passing by a number of iconic landmarks, including Cummins Station, the Music City Center, the Musica Statues, and Music Row. The Music City July 4th 5K includes an in-person and virtual option, with youth pricing available for ages 4–12. Participants will receive a commemorative medal and athletic tank top! 2022 Andrews Cadillac Firecracker 5K/10K and Luken Kids Fun Run 1K

When: July 4, 2022 | 7 a.m.
Where: Maryland Farms YMCA, Brentwood

Hosted by the Maryland Farms YMCA in Brentwood, the Andrews Cadillac Firecracker 5K/10K and Luken Kids Fun Run 1K is a tradition going on 23 years! The race takes runners on a spirited route throughout Brentwood beginning and ending at the YMCA. In addition to the 5K/10K, there will be a Kids Fun Run 1K designed for kids under the age of 12. There will also be on-site childcare available for kids ages 6 weeks to 12 years, so your kids are taken care of while you race! Music City Hot Chicken Festival

When: July 4, 2022 | 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Where: East Park, Nashville

In a city known for its hot chicken, there is no better place to be on the Fourth than the Music City Hot Chicken Festival, an annual festival celebrating this uniquely Nashville delicacy. The fun kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with the Fire Truck Parade. Then, order from Nashville’s best hot chicken establishments, including Prince’s Hot Chicken, Hattie B’s, Party Fowl, and more, cold beer from Yazoo, and other delicious offerings from other vendors. Plus, enjoy live music from local bands all day long! This free festival is taking place at East Park in East Nashville, and all proceeds benefit the Friends of Shelby Park and Bottoms.

Goodlettsville Independence Day Celebration

When: July 4, 2022 | 4 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Where: Moss-Wright Park, Goodlettsville

The City of Goodlettsville hosts quite the party for Independence Day at Moss-Wright Park, starting at 4 p.m. and concluding after the fireworks show starting at 9 p.m. There will be a Kids Zone with inflatables, games and fireman’s foam. Bring your own picnic blanket and chairs, where you can eat food from the many vendors on site and watch the fireworks show! Admission to the event is free and access to the Kids Zone is $10 per person.

Bourbon Breakdown at Alley Taps

When: July 4, 2022 | 6–10 p.m.
Where: Alley Taps, Nashville

Make your way to Alley Taps in historic Printers Alley for an evening filled with bourbon and live music! Local country musician Andrea Goodman is hosting the event, inviting writers to swap stories about their songs and perform them live in person. Due to a sponsorship with Cooper’s Craft Bourbon, you can get shots of Cooper’s or mixed drinks (like a Kentucky Mule!) for just $5. Plus, there is no cover! Lebanon’s 4th of July Celebration

When: July 4, 2022 | 12–9:30 p.m.
Where: James E. Ward Agricultural Center, Lebanon

The City of Lebanon is celebrating the Fourth with an all-day celebration at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center. Enjoy a car show, a craft table, inflatables, free hot dogs and watermelon, a balloon artist and face painting, live music, and much more, starting at noon. End the evening with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.! Lebanon’s 4th of July Celebration is completely free — and parking is free as well.

La Vergne Independence Day Celebration

When: July 4, 2022 | 6 p.m.
Where: Veterans Memorial Park, La Vergne

The community of La Vergne is hosting their annual Independence Day celebration at Veterans Memorial Park. This free event will feature live music from Phoenix Rising and others, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a fireworks show. The gates open at 5:30 and the music starts at 6! Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs, where you can eat your own picnic dinner or food from local vendors parked on site. The fireworks show will begin at dark!

Fourth of July Celebration

When: July 4, 2022 | 6–9:30 p.m.
Where: The Park at Harlinsdale Farm, Franklin

Franklin’s Park at Harlinsdale is the perfect spot to watch the fireworks show brought to you by WAKM and the City of Franklin! But there’s so much in store for this patriotic event, including live music, concessions for purchase, beer tents, and a kids’ arena with games and crafts galore. The gates will open at 5 p.m. and the band, Mixtape, will begin playing at 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to eat and view the fireworks show, which is expected to start at 9 p.m.!

Red, White & BOOM! at Adventure Science Center

When: July 4, 2022 | 6:30–10 p.m.
Where: Adventure Science Center, Nashville

Add some excitement to your holiday at Red, White & BOOM! at the Adventure Science Center, where you’ll get an excellent view of the city’s fireworks show! Plus, enjoy special after-hours admission to the museum, a variety of live science demonstrations, lawn games and hands-on activities, exciting music, and local food trucks. And for an additional cost, see a Stranger Things-themed or Beatles-themed laser show in the planetarium!
